This listing is for an NOS 1965 Clinton D- 35. This is a big saw.

With 6 hp - 5.78 cu. And 94.7 cc's. The power head alone weighs 22.25 lbs. With the bar and chain.

He had this saw built for himself. It included the 170-154 - 500 low-tone muffler, which was a rare option. This was a part of his personal Clinton collection, but medical expenses from his health issues required him to sell his collection. I have had this one in my collection ever since.

As he stated to me, this saw was only started at the factory to initially adjust the carburetor.... I could have removed the muffler to look inside the exhaust port, but to do so would require me to bend the tabs on the bolts which would cause the paint to flake off. While the spark plug was out, I checked the ignition for spark and it has a very bright blue spark.

I have no reason to believe that this saw would not start right up, but I will not start it because they are only "new" once. The compression that this saw has is outstanding, but then again, it is a 6 horsepower engine. Both the gas and chain oil tanks are shinny silver inside with no rust, dirt or discoloration.

They look like they did the day this saw came off the production line. The saw comes with it's original 21 bar and 404 chain. All the domestic D-35 saws were painted in yellow. The gentleman I bought it from said that he always admired the blue as opposed to the yellow and I would agree.

It does have a few small scratches and bumps, but remember that it is 54 years old. I have no doubt that this is the one and only NOS Clinton D-35 in existence.

It is spectacular and you will not be disappointed. An improper adjustment can damage the engine.
