NEW MS660 CHAINSAW With 28 BAR + FULL CHISEL CHAIN 92CC 7.1HP Stihl

COPE Small Engine has professionally built a Brand New Farmertec MS660 Chainsaw with a 28 bar and Full Chisel chain. This unit was assembled according to STIHL specs. Crank case bolts torqued to 11.5 Nm or 8.45 ft-lbs.

Used ThreeBond 1184 gasket sealant on both sides of crankcase with the gasket. Crank was pulled into each crank half, not pressed. So not to put any pressure on the outer race of the bearings. Units crank was properly gapped at 27.5 thousanths from each side of the crank case opening. 0275 gap on either side.

Flywheel torqued to 45 Nm or 33 ft-lbs. Stihl 3/8 x 7 sprocket rim.

28 Bar with Replaceable Tip. 063 92DL Full Chisel Chain. Opened Low end and high end needles on Carb 1/8-1/4 turn out for break in.

Ran 32:1 gas/oil mix-STIHL Full Synthetic Oil mix. Framertec mufflers do Not come with a gasket between the 2 half sections. So we made a gasket for the muffler halves. We ran 6 heat cycles on the unit.

Let it completely cool between cycles. 3 of which we ran with no bar. The other 3 we ran with the bar and chain. Never cut wood with the saw. After Heat Cycles were performed, we removed the front half of the exhaust and re-torqued the exhaust bolts as well as the crank case bolts.

Unit was showing around 130 psi on the compression test. After running another 3-5 tanks, this number should rise between 145-160. Bolts(screws) are in their respective holes on the saw. The following is COPE Small Engines Professional opinion on what to do after receiving the saw. You will need to do the remainder of the break in cutting wood. Try to stay around 3/4-Full throttle while cutting on your first tank. After that, full throttle for the remainder 3-5 tanks.

DO NOT run saw at full throttle with out cutting a piece of wood. After the first tank or two the saw will need to be leaned out on the low and high speed needles.

You can take it to a Dealer and let them adjust the carb back to normal settings. Unit does NOT have any Bar oil or Fuel mix in it. This saw kit is made from OEM quality aftermarket parts. Here are more pics of the saw, some are already in the listing. We just added all of them.
