Stihl 042 AV Chainsaw With 16 Bar And Chain Runs Used Chainsaw. The chainsaw starts runs and idles good and that's all I've really done with it.

The carburetor might still need a adjustment or cleaning or rebuild. I did open up the carburetor to take a look and the gaskets seem ok but could probably use a kit. I opened it up because the diaphragm wasn't in it properly and the chainsaw just flooded but that seems fixed now. The air filter cover is cracked a little as seen in one of the pictures. The brake works and the oiler seems to work.

The bar and chain are ok but I might look to see if I have something better laying around. I have not done a compression test on this chainsaw yet but I will if needed.

It does seem to have great compression though. The 042 is kind of a hard saw to find these days and would look good in any collection or put it to work.
