This is a Stihl MS461 professional chainsaw. This chainsaw runs very strong; I thought it had low compression and it sort of did... Because as I found out after visiting my local outdoor power equipment store today 7/19, the decompression valve was stuck open and it wasnt building up enough compression to start!

It had less resistance when attempting to pull start compared to other good running chainsaws, so I wrongfully assumed it needed to be rebuilt but was just a stuck decompression valve which was removed, cleaned, and replaced... Now it functions as it should! After 4-5 pulls on the rope it showed 140psi compression, wish they pulled it a few more times as it probably would have gone up some more... Some say to pull 8 times when testing compression.

The MS461 emblem on starter cover is missing. What you see is what you get. Please see photos for condition. Please note that this item is.
