Stihl MS660 timber chainsaw, excellent running pro-saw, Big Bore, 171 PSI
I have a Stihl MS660 chainsaw that is nice. The saw was used and needed alot of work so I took it in on a trade. I used the original crankcase and crank with a new set of crank seals. I installed a new HY-way Big Bore cylinder and piston kit, new fuel lines and filter, new impusle line, new heavy duty air filter assembly, and a new vent line. I put a new kit in the Walbro carburetor. The saw is running the original flywheel and coil. I put on a new Oregon clutch/drum/kit with a 8 tooth rim sprocket. The orange plastic on this saw is not the greatest but for a saw that has been to the woods its way above average. It has a tiny crack in the front left corner of the top orange cover, purely cosmetic. I used an aftermarket handlebar.

I have an aftermarket elasta-start style of starter rope on this saw and it has done good. It has been cranked alot with the rope and had no issues. I always use OE ropes for this size of saw but there were none local at the time. This saw is a beast and is running excellent. I have the saw running rich to keep it at 12,500 rpms and it causes the saw to take about 3 seconds to idle all the way down when you let off.

No big deal just wanted to mention it. Give it a few days and the diaphram may soften a little more and it idle down instantly. It is oiling excellent and will run as much oil as you want to the bar. I loaned the Park Service the saw and let them run 5 tanks through it with a 20 bar and it is a runner. After break-in, I tested the compression and it is 171 psi and it passed the vacuum/pressure test perfectly.

This saw has very fast acceleration like a 1 ring husqvarna saw. You can feel confident this saw is ready to go to the woods or to the firewood lot and earn its keep. My feedback speaks for itself. Please contact me with any problems. I have had two issues in the past where neutral feedback was left and I will make every attempt to fix the situation if you will contact me with the problem first.

If you can't respond to me or read English, please don? If you have never had a Stihl saw, they do not crank on the first pull, and will flood out if they are left on choke position after the engine hits. I don't have time to try to teach someone how to crank a saw nor do I care to explain how to air out a cylinder that someone inadvertently flooded because of the choke being left on and still trying to crank after the engine hits. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. The item "Stihl MS660 timber chainsaw, excellent running pro-saw, Big Bore, 171 PSI" is in sale since Thursday, October 11, 2018.
