The paint on this saw is simply stunning. Figure out why it has weak spark and it may take off like a rocket. This was a collector's chainsaw. He looked like he was going to cry real tears when he parted with it.

I've never seen a saw this old look this good ORIGINAL PAINT! Looks so good I almost don't want to part with it either.

For some reason the bar oil seems to seep when it sits. It actually had clean fuel in the tank when we received it.

This is the cleanest example of the Stihl 031av vintage chainsaw you are likely ever to find. The right saw for the job at hand has to provide the power and attachments that you need.

The Stihl 031 AV chain saw is a medium-sized saw with an engine powerful enough to handle a variety of wood cutting tasks. The 031's power comes at the expense of added weight, but the AV version helps offset the fatigue of wielding the saw for long periods with hydraulic shock absorbers built into the handle.

Engine Output The 031 AV uses a single cylinder two-cycle engine that Stihl lists at 3.2 DIN horsepower at 8,500 revolutions per minute (rpm). One DIN horsepower is the equivalent to 0.986 horsepower under the metric system. The maximum power output of the 031 AV in horsepower is roughly 3.15. The maximum torque output of this saw is 3 nanometers at 6,000 rpm.

Engine Specs The stock configuration of the 031 AV uses a single cylinder with a displacement of 49 cubic centimeters, a stroke of 32 mm and a bore of 44 mm.
